About Sillie Pants
Hi and welcome to my atelier of love, joy, unicorns, and rainbows! I'm Nina, an artist based in Tokyo and New York City. I love bright colors, playful designs, and painting colors onto otherwise bland everyday objects.
I have been based in New York City for about 10 years, but have my roots in Japan.
I started creating colorful gym clothes for myself back in 2020 with sketches I made on my iPad, and wore them for running and bouldering.
Since then, I worked on building Sillie Pants into a business in between my office jobs, and finally launched the current version of this online store in 2024.
My aim through Sillie Pants is to spread the joy of wearing fun, bright colors to people who love colorful things as much as I do. The idea is to remind ourselves to stay silly and childlike no matter our age.
All prints are designed by me on my iPad, with much love, by hand.
Sustainability
We partner with print-on-demand companies that make the items one by one after an order comes in, eliminating overproduction waste. We work with suppliers that follow ethical labor standards, use non-toxic printing methods, and prioritize environmentally responsible practices. This includes choosing recycled or low-impact fabrics as much as possible and minimizing harm throughout the production process.

Quality
After many rounds of testing, I carefully selected suppliers known for creating durable, quality activewear with vibrant, fade-resistant prints.
I especially wanted to make sure that the fabric feels comfortable and premium, so that the pieces don't just look colorful and cute but also feel good to wear.
Where do the products come from?
Our suppliers are located around the world. Products are made to order and typically shipped from the fulfillment center best suited to your location and product availability, with facilities across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
Some products come from specific origins, like the compression yoga shorts, compression yoga leggings, and headbands, which are made in Canada.
